Planning consent secured for 28MW Home Farm solar project - Enray Power

Enray Power has secured planning consent for a 28MW solar PV project at Home Farm, near Bourne in Lincolnshire.

Planning consent was granted on 13 March 2025 for the 67-hectare site, which will generate renewable electricity while delivering significant biodiversity enhancements and wider benefits for the local area.

Once operational, Home Farm will form part of Enray Power’s growing portfolio of solar and battery storage projects across the UK, contributing additional renewable generation capacity to the electricity system.

Biodiversity built into the project

The plans for Home Farm incorporate a range of measures designed to enhance habitats and support local wildlife alongside the solar development.

Meadow and native planting will be introduced across the site, helping to manage invasive species while creating and improving habitats. Collectively, the measures are expected to deliver a 62.31% biodiversity net gain.

The ecological strategy also includes measures to support the local skylark population, ensuring the development considers the needs of a species already using the surrounding landscape.

Maintenance buffers have also been incorporated into the site design to provide appropriate access for the Internal Drainage Board (IDB) and support the ongoing management of local drainage infrastructure.

Considering the local community

The development has been designed to minimise impacts on surrounding communities during both construction and operation.

Construction HGV routes have been specifically planned to avoid Dyke village, reducing the impact of construction traffic on local residents and roads.

Home Farm reflects Enray Power’s approach to solar development: delivering new renewable generation while considering biodiversity, the surrounding landscape, existing infrastructure and the communities around our projects.
