How it works
Solar panels are installed on steel frames that are typically pile driven into the ground, meaning the fields can be easily returned to use once the solar farm is removed at the end of its life. Electricity is generated by the PV panels and travels through cables to inverters and then into a small substation which connects the site to the electricity distribution network.
